Session One: The Profile Assessment System (PAS)
In session one, you will be introduced to the Profile Assessment System (PAS) and why it is one of the best tools out there to assess potential ministry planters. We will look together at the importance of a good selection process, the benefits of professional assessments, common errors in most selection models and the 13 essential qualities for ministry planters.
Session Two: The Interview
In session two, we will look at the goal of the interview in its four stages and dissect it into its essential components: how to set up the meeting, how to ask the right questions, how to take good notes, and what to look for in each of the 13 categories. Each participant will practice their interviewing and note-taking skills.
Session Three: Evaluating and Rating
During session three, we will look at how to assess our interview data. Looking at the most common errors in evaluation, characteristics of effective rating, and the steps needed to analyze the data. Each participant will practice writing descriptive phrases and rating.
Session Four: Reporting
To finish our training time together, session four will focus on writing the report. We will cover the content, guidelines, format and more. Because the goal of our Basic Assessment Training is to leave with effective interviewing skills, we will be working in teams to practice these skills.
