Calling
Aspiring church planters should take a general assessment to identify strengths, pinpoint areas for potential growth, and determine whether church planting is right for them.
The CMN Launch Assessment, inspired by the PAS/Ridley system, is an online assessment designed to identify behavior patterns common among successful church planters. It is evaluated by a Nationally Certified Assessor known for their impartiality and accuracy in assessing candidate strengths and areas for growth in the context of church planting.
This assessment evaluates church planters across ten key areas:
Calling
Entrepreneurship
Compelling Vision
Internal Drive
Team Building
Leading People to Christ
Marriage
Relationship Balance
Community Engagement
Grit
CMN Launch attendees will receive a complimentary link to complete the CMN Launch Assessment. This link is provided for individuals who wish to take the assessment without attending CMN Launch.
The PAS/Ridley Assessment is a structured interview conducted by a Certified Lead Assessor known for their impartiality and accuracy in identifying candidates’ ability to demonstrate 13 core characteristics. This interview involves both the candidate and their spouse, focusing on past behaviors as indicators of future performance.
The Church Planter Candidate Assessment (CPCA) is a statistically validated online assessment from Lifeway Christian Resources. It helps prospective church planters recognize their existing strengths and areas that require development as they get ready to plant a new church.
CPCA provides over 20 reliable scales that accurately gauge key church planting traits identified by church planting experts. More than half of these scales have proven to predict specific church growth measures.
